چکیده

The growth of small tellurium clusters in helium and the influence of a metal impurity (dysprosium atoms) on the cluster size distribution are investigated in a double laser vaporization source. A model describing the role of the carrier gas as collision partner is presented, emphasizing the crucial influence of the gas pressure on cluster formation. Changes in cluster reactivity due to dysprosium addition are discussed in terms of ionic structures Dy(TeN ) 3− containing a radical electron. Reverse hydrogen spillover in supported subnanosize clusters of the metals of groups 8 to 11. A computational model study.

In a recent computational study [G. N. Vayssilov, B. C. Gates and N. Rösch, Angew. Chem., Int. Ed. Eng., 2003, 42, 1391], we found zeolite-supported Rh6 clusters, interacting with hydroxyl groups of the support, to undergo partial oxidation due to reverse spillover of hydrogen onto the metal cluster. Now, we have extended this model study to transition metal clusters M6 of the platinum and gold...

Effect of single additive bivalent metal ions on the growth of Streptomyces clavuligerus and clavulanic acid production

Metal ions are the main impurities of water and media ingredients used in fermentation processes. In this research, the effect of Ca+2, Co+2, Cu+2, Fe+2, Mg+2, Mn+2 and Zn+2 as chloride and sulfate salts was studied on the clavulanic acid production and Streptomyces clavuligerus growth. All chloride salts had negative effect on clavulanic acid production and no clavulanic acid was produced in t...

Solvent extraction and stripping of zinc from synthetic chloride solution in presence of manganese and cadmium as impurities

In this research work, solvent extraction and stripping of zinc ions from a Zn-Mn-Cd-bearing solution was investigated using D2EHPA as the extractant in a chloride medium. The efficiency of the extraction and stripping stages was evaluated separately, and different parameters such as the pH, extractant concentration, reaction temperature, and contact time were studied. Based on the results obta...
